Factors that affect indoor air quality

Indoor Air Quality | Oasis Air AZ

Many symptoms that people experience from a common cold or allergies are very similar symptoms to those you may experience when you have poor indoor air quality. Headaches, congestion, and sneezing can all be linked to mold growth, odors in the home, and dust. There are other everyday products we use like cleaning products that produce gases that leak into our indoor environment and silently affecting our health and comfort.

How can I figure out what is affecting my indoor air quality?

If you have been experiencing any of these common symptoms of poor indoor air quality, you may want to consider a UV light and an indoor air purification system. The HVAC professionals at Oasis Air highly recommend the iWave-R.

If you are interested in figuring out more about your indoor air quality and what could be affecting it,  call Oasis Air today and we would be more than happy to send a technician out to test your indoor air quality.

What Does an Indoor Air Quality Test Calculate?

The device we use to measure the quality of the air can detect several things that may be affecting your health and IAQ. If you are worried about your home’s air quality, let one of our professional technicians come to your home so they can provide you with an indoor air quality test.

Within minutes of starting the test in your home, our EPA-certified technician can provide you with a breakdown of what is affecting your IAQ. Our professional device can test for several elements that may be affecting your air quality which includes:

  • Relative Humidity
  • Temperature
  • Particulates
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
  • Carbon Dioxide
  • Barometric Pressure

Reviewing the results of your IAQ test

The device we use will create a report that we can share with you. Our technicians will be able to review the results on their smart device and provide you with detailed information on what you can do to improve your IAQ. Along with the results of the test, we can take into consideration your family’s needs and comfort level to determine the best solution for you and your family.

Two IAQ upgrades that our staff and HVAC technicians recommend to all of our customers concerned about their indoor air quality is the iWave-r and a UV light. The iWave-r is a device that can be installed in your ductwork to help eliminate germs, bacteria, and viruses. The iWave-R can help reduce odors, volatile organic compounds, dust, hair, and other particulate matter. The iWave produces equal parts of positive and negative ions which bond together as they flow through your HVAC system. As they bond, they trap dust and other contaminants which makes these tiny little particles less likely to get past your air filter and back into your home.

A UV light helps disinfect your HVAC system from mold growth and mildew, and may also reduce viruses and germs that could build up on your AC coil. Although it’s not as effective against particulate matter as the iWave-r, it will keep mold and mildew out of your HVAC system.

Both of these IAQ upgrades can be used together for the best results and defense again indoor air pollution, germs, mold, and particulate matter.
